Our dining room and lounge is fully licensed. Our dining room features a changing daily menu, with three courses offered and a la carte available. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservation for guests is not required but is highly recommended to ensure guest are able to dine at their chosen time.

 Deposit Policy:

To confirm your reservation we require a $75.00 deposit, which is taken at the time of your booking. If you cancel between the date of booking and seven days prior to your scheduled arrival we refund only $60. of the deposit. If there is a cancellation within seven days of your scheduled arrival date we do not make a refund of any portion of the deposit unless we are to rebook your room. If we will rebook your room we will make a refund of the deposit up to the amount for which we are able to rebook the room.

Location

The Big Intervale Fishing Lodge is located off the Cabot Trail along the tranquil meander of the Margarees. As you transverse the Margaree Valley en route to an angler's paradise you are lulled into security by the rush of the river towards the Atlantic. Your leisurely travels bring you 362 km from Halifax and the International Airport, and 160 km from the Sydney Airport. There is a small airport in Port Hawkesbury, just 95 km from your destination, as well as a small private airport in the Margarees. The trip itself is a tourists paradise with some of the most spectacular scenery and vaulting mountain ranges you will ever discover. Stop any of the friendly folks along the way and directions are guaranteed to your destination. Enjoy the drive, people and the angling experience of the Margarees.
BY CAR: Follow the 105 (Trans-Canada) towards Baddeck and turn onto the Cabot Trail at Nyanza, Exit 7. Follow the Trail to North East Margaree, turn right to Margaree Valley, then follow the signs to Big Intervale. Turn left past the church at Kingross, cross the bridge, and go two miles down stream. You're there!

BY AIR: Fly to Halifax or Sydney, Nova Scotia. Car rentals are available at both airports.

Special classes for those spending a few days in the Margaree area who need something to do while their partners are out fishing all day. Come learn how to rug hook, make a doll or learn different quilting techniques. Anne can provide all the supplies if you give her at least a day's notice.
